personal interests the arts writing poetry

I began writing song lyrics in the 60s when I was trying to teach myself the guitar.
Before too long, I began to translate my lyrics into written poetry.
The poetry took many forms from free verse to attempts at more structured creations.
Like most writers, my poetry was inspired by subjects about which I was developing strong emotional and intellectual philosophies.
Subjects derived from my life experiences and observations... about love, life, politics...
